On the floor of "Let's Dance", professional dancer Renata Lusin and athlete Moritz Hans completed complicated lifting figures and artistic contortions and thus achieved second place in this season. A trip to the bouldering hall had painful consequences for the 33-year-old: Lusin broke a bone in his ankle and has to wear a cast.
Moritz Hans, who has been climbing since childhood, wanted to bring Lusin closer to his sport and gave the native Russian special shoes for Bouldering. In the discipline, you shimmy along a wall without climbing rope and harness, either outdoors or in a hall.
Renata Lusin crashed while bouldering
Lusin had been practicing in a hall for several hours when the accident happened. "Unfortunately I underestimated my strength and fell from 3 meters onto the mat. All ligaments are healthy and not even overstretched, but the talus bone got a tear or break", writes the dancer on her Instagram account. It was the very first time that she had broken something.
Lusin has been dancing since she was 11 and came to Germany to study. Since 2003 she has been competing in tournaments with the professional dancer Valentin Lusin. The couple have been married since 2014 and have been part of the selection of professional dancers at "Let's dance".
Renata Lusin consoles Moritz Hans
That the accident happened now is called Renata Lusin "Happiness in misfortune", because the corona virus pandemic has canceled all shows and tournaments. "Maybe that was a sign that I should step down and take a little break." She also finds encouraging words for Moritz Hans, who now has a guilty conscience because he persuaded her to boulder. "I am so sorry because he is worried now, but it could have happened anywhere," Lusin said in an Instagram story.
