Fashion designer Harald Glööckler (55) described the hospital staff as "the real VIPs" in the Corona crisis.
“Basically everyone is a very important person. But in the times of Corona all those who cared for the well-being of others were actually very, very important, »said the artist. He therefore sees his recently published song “Wir sind VIP” as a hymn to those who make life or suffering easier for others. "Those are the really important ones," he said.
Glööckler presents the song in the ZDF television garden in Mainz. "I'll limit myself to chanting," he said with a wink. "I leave the rest to the professionals."
His first record he bought himself was “The Wall” (1979) by the British rock band Pink Floyd, Glööckler told the German press agency. He grew up with Katja Ebsteins "Once upon a time there was a hunter" (1974). "My aunts liked it – but my mother hated it," said the artist. Glööckler was born in Maulbronn (Baden-Württemberg) and has been living in the Palatinate town of Kirchheim since 2015.
