Daniel Sträßer (32), one of the two main commissioners in the Saar “Tatort”, says that it is “terrible” that actors in their roles are quickly put in drawers.
«I am not committed to it at all and also refuse. I don't just want to play the tough guy or the one drawn by life, »he told the German Press Agency in Saarbrücken. He therefore consciously accepts comedies and easier roles and tries to play different characters. Not every actor is able to do that, "but much more could be done if you trusted them more in casting procedures."
The Berlin, former ensemble member of the Vienna Burgtheater, is currently filming the second case of “Tatort” commissioners Adam Schürk and Leo Hölzer in Saarbrücken with Vladimir Burlakov – because of the Corona crisis, ten weeks late. Working title: «The Lord of the Forest».
