Watch the video: Suspected Epstein helper Ghislaine Maxwell wants to be released on bail.
Jeffrey Epstein's long-time partner Ghislaine Maxwell applied for bail about a week after her arrest. She is accused of being indirectly and actively involved in the sexual abuse of girls, for whom Epstein had been detained before he was found dead in his cell last year. This survivor, now an adult, says that Epstein and Maxwell treated her like toys that can be given to anyone. Maxwell denies the allegations and says she deserves bail because she is at significant risk of contracting the coronavirus in prison. Since the end of June, Maxwell has been in a New York prison where 55 people tested positive for Covid-19. The proposed deposit is $ 5 million plus house arrest. She also needed protection from the press, according to Maxwell's request. Ghislaine Maxwell is the daughter of media mogul Robert Maxwell, who has owned, among others, Mirror Group Newspapers and Macmillan Publishers. Well-known personalities like the British Prince Andrew, the US Presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton belonged to the social circle of Epstein.
