Former sprint star Usain Bolt has announced the name of his little daughter: Olympia Lightning Bolt. Translated, Lightning Bolt means "Blitz". Bolt posted photos of the baby on social media Tuesday, some with the mother, his girlfriend Kasi Bennett.
She wears a long, flowing dress in the pictures, which apparently were taken during a professional shoot. Bolt congratulated Bennett on her birthday. "We started a new chapter together with our daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt," wrote the Jamaican (33).
Bennett had given birth to the girl in mid-May in a hospital in the capital of the Caribbean state, Kingston. Two weeks later, the couple donated several devices to the clinic as well as vouchers for Bolts Restaurant to the maternity ward. The world-famous ex-athlete announced the pregnancy on social media at the end of January with the following words: "I just want to say that there will soon be a king or queen."
Usain St. Leo Bolt was an Olympic gold medalist eight times, won World Championship gold eleven times and has also held world records over 100 meters (9.58 seconds) and 200 meters (19.19) since 2009.
