Hollywood star Mel Gibson (64, "Braveheart") had already contracted lung disease Covid-19 in April. The Australian actor and director was according to the US magazine "People" already treated for a week in April in a Los Angeles hospital. In the meantime, he has completely recovered.
Gibson was given remdesivir
Gibson has been tested "several times negative" for the corona virus and "positive for antibodies" since his release, a spokesman for the actor confirmed to the magazine. During his treatment, the 64-year-old was also given Remdesivir, which was originally developed to treat Ebola and Marburg virus infections.
First thing the Australian newspaper "The Daily Telegraph" reported about the Hollywood star's illness. Gibson had been spotted shopping in California with his girlfriend Rosalind Ross, 30, in March, just under a month before his infection. The two have been a couple since 2014 and became the parents of little Lars Gerard (3) – Gibson's ninth child in 2017.
