They have already looked at the registry office in Tangermünde. But there Michael Wendler and Laura Müller under no circumstances marry if the church wedding in Las Vegas does not work. The ceremony is scheduled for August 2 in the United States. Given the increasing numbers of coronavirus infections there and the still applicable entry ban for Europeans, this project does not seem realistic.
"I hope that it will take place and that we can organize our wedding," said Laura Müller in the TV-Now documentary, "Laura and the Wendler – Now we are getting married. "However, the filming already took place in the spring. But the Wendler was confident even then." We have a plan B in our pockets. If it doesn't work out at our desired time in Las Vegas, we can move the whole thing backwards. It is definitely possible. "
Wendler and Müller's wedding live on RTL
So fall wedding instead of summer ceremony? The broadcaster RTL, where the wedding is to be broadcast live, is rethinking its plans. At the moment, it is assumed that the couple will say yes in front of running television cameras in autumn, RTL announced on Friday – if the situation around the corona virus allows it. However, a live broadcast is still planned. There is also no final clarity about the location of the wedding.
But the pop singer doesn't want to know anything about that. "Even if the press likes to say otherwise – our wedding countdown (church) is on," he writes on Instagram.
Wedding in Tangermünde instead of Las Vegas?
The 48-year-old married his girlfriend Laura Müller on June 19 in Cape Coral, Florida. The couple had to do without family and friends. Whether they can all fly to Las Vegas in August remains to be seen. Laura's father Klaus and his girlfriend Gaby would find it very practical if the wedding took place in Saxony-Anhalt. And not only that: the bohei around the cake, which Wendler and Müller chose in Germany and which is then to be baked in the USA, would also lapse.
But the singer remains persistent: he has always had a wedding in Las Vegas wanted. "It didn't work in my first marriage," he said in the TV Now documentary. He married his ex-wife Claudia on Sylt. With Laura everything should be one size bigger – so Las Vegas. The desert metropolis is better known for wedding ceremonies every ten minutes than for stylish church weddings. But Wendler is confident that everything will go differently for him and that he will marry in the United States on August 2, 2020.
