For about two weeks there has been sad certainty: The "Glee" star Naya Rivera (1987-2020) died in a bathing accident at the age of only 33. Now both answered her ex-husband Ryan Dorsey (37) as well as her younger sister Nickayla Rivera (25) independently of one another with moving Instagram posts for the first time.
Dorsey, with whom the actress also has their four-year-old son Josey, describes a hole in his heart. "I can't believe that's life now," he continues. He also says that the day before the accident, he was swimming with Naya and her son in the same place where the tragic accident occurred just hours later. "Life is just not fair," says Dorsey.
He was grateful for the trip together that had given them the "sweetest, sweetest and smartest boy" that one could hope for. His son is currently helping him to make the bad times seem less bad. Nevertheless, he and his son Rivera miss a lot: "He will never forget where he comes from. We will always love you. I love you." In his words, he published a picture of his ex-wife, who is holding her son in her arms at sunset.
Her sister describes her strong bond
Rivera's surviving sister posted a no less emotional statement. She also has no words to describe the love for the late actress. Their connection to each other was extremely strong, even if they were often miles apart. "Our bond is inseparable. We were completely opposite and yet at the same time one and the same. The yin to my yang," writes the younger part of the sibling couple.
She couldn't imagine a life without her sister, her world was now completely turned upside down. "I will love you forever and miss you every second of my life," the 25-year-old concludes her post on a shared portrait of the two children.
