In April 2020 Ramon Roselly (26) won the 17th season of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar". Since then he has been celebrating success after success. His debut album "Herzenssache" has already been awarded gold and with his single "Eine Nacht" he topped the German charts. While many of his "DSDS" predecessors quickly became quiet, Ramon Roselly only seems to be getting started.
"It's just unbelievable what happened and it was a lot of fun," said Roselly in an interview with the news agency spot on news looking back on his "DSDS" victory. "It's an experience that I never want to miss and I can only say thank you for being part of it. It was wonderful!" The show was "basically my first musical experience". "It showed me that you can express emotions with music. Of course, the show has now opened the doors for me to be able to be part of various shows. Absolute madness!"
"No matter how successful you are, you should always stay on the ground"
Despite his success, Roselly wants to keep his down-to-earthness. "We are all human beings and everyone is the same. I am not a fan of envy and resentment at all. No matter how successful you are, you should always stay on the ground. That's how I am," the 26-year-old says modestly. While other "DSDS" winners disappeared shortly after the show, Roselly's songs are well received. However, he "has no recipe for success". "I live the music that I play and just stay me," he says.
Roselly, who grew up in a circus family and worked as a building cleaner before "DSDS", also has a plan B if the music doesn't work. He "always has the opportunity to return to my old job. But I want to pursue my great passion, music, and step on the gas," he emphasizes.
Ramon Roselly plans this in the future
Most recently, Ramon Roselly appeared in the "Schlagerlovestory.2020 – The Great Reunion" by Florian Silbereisen (38) alongside stars such as Roland Kaiser (68), Howard Carpendale (74) and Andrea Berg (54). To be on the same stage as these artists is "an indescribable feeling and difficult to describe". "I would never have expected that at the time, so it is all the better to be able to experience it. These are great goosebumps moments that I will never forget!"
There are also other TV appearances in the pipeline: "Yes, I will be seen in one or the other show. I look forward to it," said Roselly. A tour is still waiting for the corona virus pandemic. "I am a spontaneous person, I often decide a lot of things at short notice. But as soon as gigs can take place, I am of course at the start and really step on the gas. I want to meet my fans and am really looking forward to it!" Says the pop singer about his plans for the time after the Corona crisis. In general, however, he is "healthy, my family is healthy, that's the most important thing".
